Content Matterz counts down to 2024

Whoa, dang! For the team at Content Matterz, this year was a big one for our little agency. At times it felt like we were slogging along, somewhere in the middle of a marathon. Others, we were taking each day at a full-out sprint. As 2023 begins to wrap, and I look forward to a little relaxation before 2024 begins, I can’t help but take a few moments to reflect on all the amazing things our team accomplished.

Though it’s hard to narrow it down to just a few, read on for the Content Matterz top 5 greatest hits from this year!

#5. We went all-in on transparent pricing

Working with a lot of B2B and SaaS companies, we noticed one common trend: getting to the point when talking about how much it costs.

In our content marketing work, we talk quite a bit about reducing friction. Whether it’s what our clients’ solutions do for their users or how we can collaborate more effectively internally, at the end of the day, it’s about making it as smooth and easy as possible to accomplish the objective. So, with that reasoning, why would we want to get in the way of someone deciding to work with us?

Long gone are the days of a million sales meetings before that price point drops — no one has time for that! Since budgets are one of the first considerations most marketers make when enlisting help, putting pricing on our website aligns with Content Matterz’s mission of making our client’s lives easier — and we even have two great ways they can engage with us: package (everything you need to get the most out of one amazing deliverable) or subscription (a set monthly amount so you know exactly what to expect).

#4. Our fabulous clients did not disappoint

One of the best things about working with technology companies is we get to work with organizations that are truly trying to make the world a better place — and we get to learn so much in the process!

Take our client, Brightly! We’ve been along for the ride since they were Dude Solutions and have confidently helped them tackle some very lofty content marketing projects. Whether we get 1:1 time with one of their experts or have a brainstorming session with our main contact, we’re loving every minute and still discovering something new about each of the industries they serve through each project.

Luckily, they like our team as much as we enjoy theirs! Check out what Brightly Content Marketing Manager Courtney Cheek has to say about her experience working with Content Matterz.

#3. We (ever so reluctantly) gave in to the AI robots

When folks look back on 2023, the one thing that will certainly stand out is the explosion of AI. It was everywhere, and as marketers, we couldn’t help but get pulled into the possibilities. All the great new ways to develop new content ideas, email subject lines or even images are wild! Generative AI tools make it super easy to add a few words to a prompt to have a whole cache of content at your disposal seconds later.

Though a few of us (not to name names) were VERY reluctant to embrace AI *cough, our Senior Copywriter, cough cough*, we managed to get through our discomfort and even had a little fun with ChatGPT, who was named Charlie by the Content Matterz Operations Team.

We’re excited to see what 2024 will bring for AI and content marketing and are already on the edge of our seats waiting for HubSpot’s new generative AI tools.

#2. The team took time for fun

If you’re paying any attention, burnout is still one of the leading challenges affecting leaders and employees. At Content Matterz, we know that work/life balance is one of the most essential components for enabling creativity and deep, strategic thinking — that’s why I’m such a believer in offering unlimited PTO as a benefit. My team works HARD, and I want to make sure they always have the time they need to unplug and recharge.

No one got married this year, but we all did take a little time off to go out and grab inspiration from the world. Between everyone here, we snuck in international travel, an annual camping trip with favorite friends, spring break in Palm Springs or an ambitious family road trip complete with 12 destinations; our team found ways to sign off and take well-deserved breaks.

Content Matterz on vacation

#1. New look, who dis? Content Matterz website gets a makeover

As the founder, I’m not gonna lie: I had some attachment to our old branding. But to grow as a marketing agency, we must try new things! Over the summer, Content Matterz launched our new website, and I’m grateful to the whole team for making it happen. From fresh copy and graphics to more intuitive navigation, it was a true group effort — and I’m pretty pleased with the results. If you haven’t already, take a peek!
